  • Royal duties: Prince Michael is a grandson of King George V and cousin of Queen Elizabeth II. As the third child of George V's fourth son, he was not initially expected to carry out official royal duties. However, he has offically represented the Queen in non-UK Commonwealth realms many times, and attended many funerals of foreign dignitaries on her behalf.
