Malaysia goes to the polls
Malaysia will hold its general elections on May 5th, in what could be the ruling coalition's closest ever fight in its bid to retain power.
The Election Commission announced today that Nomination Day is on the 20th of this month.
This would kick off a fortnight-long campaign.
Last week, Prime Minister Najib Razak had dissolved the parliament to make way for the election.
