Websites hacked and personal details exposed as part of Guy Fawkes Day
NBC pulled down by ‘pyknic’
NBC’s website was hacked, including its default and mobile homepages, the Saturday Night Live site, the Jay Leno site and the Sports Rotoworld page. Some of the pages displayed content without style formatting while others had starry backgrounds with the headers “hacked by pyknic” and the following sentence “User info
Within an hour, the website was recovered and all pages were working normally. Also pulled down by the same user is fan website Gaga Daily. Both pages displayed scrolling text that said, “Remember, remember the fifth of November, the gunpowder treason and plot. I know of no reason why the gunpowder treason should ever be forgot,” referring to the quote in the movie V for Vendetta.
