Tulips have taken over the Flower Dome at Gardens by the Bay.

Tulipmania, Singapore’s largest tulip-themed floral display, features some 20,000 multi-coloured tulip bulbs in shades of red, pink, yellow, white and purple from Amsterdam. Also in full bloom are other spring flowering bulbs such as hyacinths, muscari and narcissus.

Along with other features such as Dutch windmills and customised wooden clogs at Tulipmania, visitors can expect to enjoy a little piece of the Netherlands right in the heart of the Gardens.

Tulipmania runs till May 20 and tickets to either one of the conservatories - Flower Dome or Cloud Forest - are priced at $10 for adults and $7 for senior citizens and children. And on Mother’s Day weekend on May 11 and 12, visitors can enjoy a 15 per cent off tickets to two conservatories as well as partake in activities that range from Dutch cheese tasting to visual arts workshops.

In conjunction with Tulipmania, 50 3D giant tulips, each measuring over one metre in height, have also popped up Raffles Place. The tulips will be on display till May 20.
