Russian businessman Alexey Bykov (not pictured - his make-up was much more rubbish) wanted to pop the question to his girlfriend, Irena Kolokov, but needed to know just how much she loved him before he did. So he decided to, you know, go ahead and fake his own death to see how she'd react. Bykov staged a horrific car crash at a spot where he'd arranged to meet Kolokov. When she showed up, she saw him covered in blood amid mangled cars and heard from a "paramedic" that he'd died. After seeing her break down in tears, Bykov sprang to life and proposed. What a catch.
