Hong Kong tycoon offers bounty for man to woo lesbian daughter

One of the richest men in Hong Kong has offered HK$500 million (US$65m) to any man who can successfully woo his lesbian daughter. 33-year-old Gigi Chao has received a deluge of courtship proposals ever since her father, property tycoon Cecil Chao, issued the public challenge on Monday - three days after his eldest child married her long-term girlfriend in France. Mr Chao, 76, said he didn't mind whether the successful suitor was rich or poor "as long as he is generous and kind-hearted", and even offered to help him start a business. Commenting on her father's offer, Ms Chao said she found it "quite entertaining", though she has now stopped adding friends on Facebook after being bombarded with a relentless string of friend requests. Keen suitors will need to come up with far more creative approaches - this is a woman bent on staying out of reach for any man.
