Russian president Vladimir Putin is 60 on Sunday 7 October, but is showing no let-up in his action hero antics. Only last month he was pictured piloting a motorised hang glider that was being used to teach birds born in captivity to fly. The story only added to the president's reputation as a true hero of the Russian state. He has previously been pictured petting polar bears and posing bare-chested with guns.
