Yaw Shin Leong got married to his second wife, Lau Wang Lin (2nd from left in picture), in November 2008, after ending a short first marriage with ex-wife Ng Mei Sze in 2005.

Shortly after his win in the 2011 Singapore General Election, rumours surfaced in January that Yaw was involved in an extramarital affair with a married female WP member.

Not long later, fresh claims pointing at a possible act of indiscretion by Yaw with a Chinese tuition teacher was reported.
