Protestors thronged the streets of Bangkok and migrant workers torched vehicles and overturned police cars in Singapore - it's first riot in more than 40 years. Elections were held in Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines before a hazardous haze blanketed the Malay Peninsula. Vietnam and Thailand mourned the deaths of two revered personalities - one a general, the other, a monk.
