Singapore’s newest celebrity pair from China arrived on a chartered Singapore Airlines flight to much fanfare on Sep 6.

Following a VIP welcome and a month-long quarantine, giant pandas Kai Kai and Jia Jia officially (and finally) made their public debut in their new million-dollar home, the Giant Panda Forest, on Nov 29.

For now, visitors will still have to pay a little more to see the pandas – S$5 on top of S$20 per adult’s zoo admission ticket and S$3 on top of S$13 per child’s zoo admission ticket – until the River Safari opens in the first quarter of next year.
