Wi-Fi conectivity at 28 MRT stations
The Land Transport Authority, LTA, will introduce Wi-Fi connections at 28 MRT station platforms across Singapore.
Wi-Fi connections under the Wireless@SG initiative will be progressively available at the platforms of all North East Line stations and 12 other stations with high commuter usage from the middle of the year.
LTA says it's aimed at enhancing wireless connectivity for commuters while they wait for the trains.
It will monitor the trial for two years before deciding if the service will be extended to other MRT stations.
