Vivian to attend haze meeting in Brunei
Minister for the Environment and Water Resources, Vivian Balakrishnan, will be attending the 16th Meeting of the Sub-Regional Ministerial Steering Committee on Transboundary Haze Pollution in Brunei tomorrow.
The committee, comprising Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand, oversees the implementation of enhanced measures to prevent smoke haze arising from land and forest fires in the five countries.
The meeting is expected to discuss the follow-up on the ASEAN Sub-Regional Haze Monitoring System, amongst other haze prevention measures.
