Video from dashboard camera of accident on PIE goes viral

A video clip, apparently taken on a dashboard camera and showing a lorry side-swiping a motorcycle on the PIE, has gone viral. 

It garnered some 6,800 shares in less than 48 hours since it was posted on Facebook on Saturday. 

A post at the webpage says the incident happened last Friday afternoon. 

The video clip was however time-stamped at 9.22pm on the 21st of Septembr 20-10, though it showed the road in daylight. 

Responding to queries from MediaCorp, police said they received a call on Friday requesting assistance. 

The location is understood to be between the Eng Neo and Steven Road exits of the PIE. 

Police said that upon their arrival, it was established that an accident involving a lorry and a motor-cycle had occurred at the said location. 

The rider was conveyed conscious to Tan Tock Seng Hospital. 

Sources said the rider is believed to have sustained injuries on the arms and legs. 

Police investigations are underway.
