SINGAPORE: A V—Hub will be set up at S*CAPE by November 2013 to reach out and help youth—at—risks.
Speaking in Parliament, Acting Minister for Social and Family Development Chan Chun Sing also called for more volunteers to be mentors to these youth.
He said youth mentors were needed to guide and empathise with these troubled youth, and urged the community to give these youth—at—risks a second chance.
He said: "For us to accept them as equal members of our society... So that when they go and look for jobs, when they try to start their lives afresh, that we will not look at them with strange eyes and not accept them. We need to do what we can as a community to help these youth walk on the correct path."
