Uni students more expensive in Singapore than Hong Kong
University students in Singapore are more expensive to hire than those in Hong Kong.
An online survey by talent company Universum showed that fresh graduates in Singapore expect to draw a monthly salary of close to $3,300.
While graduates in Hong Kong expect only about $2,800, or 18 per cent lower than those in Singapore.
Besides salary expectations, the survey also found other differences in the selection of jobs.
Graduates in Singapore place great emphasis on the "people and culture" of their job employers.
Hong Kong's students, instead, pride "remuneration and advancement opportunities" as top priority.
The survey however, found that salary expectations of graduates from Singapore and Hong Kong have come down over the years.
Over 13,000 university students - almost 7,300 from Singapore - participated in this survey.
