Unemployment and social protection among issues to be discussed in Vietnam

Senior Parliamentary Secretary for Education and Manpower Hawazi Daipi will be attending the 4th Asia-Europe Meeting Labour and Employment Ministers' Conference (ASEM LEMC). 

The meeting will be held from 24 to 26 October in Hanoi, Vietnam. 

It will focus on the theme "Employment and Social Protection - A Key to Sustainable and Inclusive Growth". 

ASEM members will discuss policies in the areas of unemployment, social protection, corporate social responsibility and occupational safety and health. 

Mr Hawazi will be accompanied by senior officials from the Ministry of Manpower. 

The biennial meeting brings together labour officials from 27 European Union Member States, the European Commission, 19 Asian countries and the ASEAN Secretariat. 

At this year's conference, Singapore will share its approach, experiences and challenges in managing employment for the youth and vulnerable workers as well as best practices in workplace safety and health.
