SINGAPORE: Sentosa’s Marine Life Park officially opened to the public on Thursday.
And more than 400 underprivileged children from organisations, including the Down Syndrome Association, Society of the Physically Disabled, Mendaki and the Grace Orchard School were among the first visitors to the park.
Their outing, known as the aRWSome Kids’ date, is part of Resorts World Sentosa’s annual charity outreach programme.
This is the fifth time RWS is holding the outreach programme.
Part of the children’s outing was a tour through the Maritime Experiential Museum.
But the main attraction is still the S.E.A. Aquarium, tipped to be the world’s largest oceanarium, especially the 36—metre by 8.3—metre Open Ocean Habitat.
Low Wee Chang from the Society for Physically Disabled said: "It’s very diverse and very open. Due to the big tanks, it can contain alot of aquatic fish inside the tank. It allows us youths to experience more and we can learn more about fish as they give us information boards. It’s very helpful."
Natasha Beck,a tourist, said: "I think the aquarium is okay. This big glass panel is pretty impressive."
