Underground scaffolding collapses at Downtown Line construction site
SINGAPORE: An underground scaffolding has collapsed at a construction site for the Downtown Line at the junction of Victoria Street and Rochor Road.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force said this happened at about 8am on Wednesday. SCDF also added that the Disaster Assistance and Rescue Team, as well as search dogs are now searching for survivors.
A caller to the MediaCorp hotline, Ms Ferlander Cheah, said she saw police and SCDF vehicles, as well as a search dog at the site outside Bugis Junction when she was on her way to work at about 9am.
