Two former real estate agents convicted of referring clients to moneylenders
Two former real estate agents agents have been convicted and sentenced for referring their clients to moneylenders.
They received a commission for their action.
Mustafa Kamal Seri was sentenced in Court today to 11 and a half months in prison and fined $18,000.
Apart from referring his clients to moneylenders, Mustafa was also convicted for cheating and criminal breach of trust.
Ghazali Mohamed Rasul was fined $18,000 yesterday.
He's the first housing agent to be prosecuted by the Council for Estate Agencies for money-lending offences.
