Transport Minister Lui Tuck Yew to visit Vienna

SINGAPORE: Minister for Transport Mr Lui Tuck Yew will make an official visit to Vienna, Austria, from 21 to 23 October, to participate in the 19th Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) World Congress and its Ministerial Round Table.

The ITS World Congress, to be held next week from 22 to 26 October 2012, will bring the global ITS community together to discuss the latest trends and policies in the area of ITS and their application towards achieving efficient and sustainable urban transport systems.

During his visit, Mr Lui will also meet with Ms Doris Bures, Austrian Federal Minister for Transport, Innovation and Technology, Mr Siim Kallas, European Commission Vice—President and Commissioner for Transport, and other counterparts to exchange views on transport issues of mutual interest.

Mr Lui will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Transport and the Land Transport Authority of Singapore.
