Toyota cars face recall
More than 400 Toyota and Lexus cars are facing a recall in Singapore.
This is part of a global recall program by the Japanese car maker that affects some 370 thousand vehicles worldwide.
The Land Transport Authority (LTA) says these affected models include 410 units of Lexus RX 400h bought from authorised agents.
These models are recalled due to a power converter defect.
Affected models bought via a parallel importer include 4 units of Toyota Harrier Hybrid, 1 unit of Lexus IS350 and 2 units of GS350 from the same brand.
The recall is due to a valve control system fault, which in the worst case scenario, could cause the engine to stop.
The LTA says motor dealers will be notifying affected owners to schedule them for rectifications accordingly.
