SINGAPORE: Town criers from the British Club visited MediaCorp on Thursday to announce the celebrations for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
This is Queen Elizabeth II’s 60th anniversary on the throne.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, William and Kate, will tour Singapore, Malaysia, the Solomon Islands and Tuvalu, in September or October.
To commemorate this, the British Club will be hosting a range of public events in June, including a Street Party and Gala Dinner.
There will also be a charity auction that will benefit Club Rainbow and the Gurkha Welfare Trust.
