SINGAPORE: Expect thundery showers over the next few weeks, mostly in the afternoon.
The weatherman said thundery showers can be expected on five to six days mainly in the afternoon, and on a couple of days in the morning and early afternoon.
The National Environment Agency (NEA) said inter-monsoon conditions, which prevailed in the first half of the month, will continue to prevail over the region in the second half of April, with low-level winds.
NEA said the past fortnight saw about two-thirds of Singapore receiving above-average rainfall, mostly from moderate to heavy thundery showers in the afternoon.
The highest rainfall of 140-160mm was recorded in the northern and southern parts of the island around Sembawang and Jalan Besar.
Areas in the east and west, around Changi and Tuas received the lowest rainfall, where 35-55mm was recorded.
On the whole, rainfall for this month of April is expected to fall "slightly below average" to "average".
In Singapore, the recorded average rainfall for the month of April is 179.3mm.
