The government will embark on a major review of its Continuing Education and Training Masterplan
Acting Manpower Minister Tan Chuan-Jin says the government will embark on a major review of its Continuing Education and Training Masterplan.
Mr Tan said the review is timely as Singapore seeks to transform the economy and help Singaporeans fulfill their career aspirations at the same time.
He added the government hopes to better anticipate future challenges and uncertainties faced by companies and workforce, so that enhancements to the CET system can be made in time.
The current CET Masterplan was launched in 2008 to encourage coordinated efforts in CET.
Mr Tan was speaking at a Max Talent graduation ceremony this morning.
Max Talent is a two-year place and train programme launched by the Singapore Workforce Development Agency in April 2012.
Administered by the Association of Small and Medium Enterprises, the programme aims to improve the human resource capabilities of SMEs and retain newly hired Professionals, Managers and Executives.
