SINGAPORE: Thailand’s Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn is to visit Singapore from this weekend.
On Sunday, the Princess will be hosted to lunch by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and Mrs Lee.
Later in the afternoon, the Princess will meet Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the National Research Foundation Teo Chee Hean, and attend the Opening Ceremony of the Global Young Scientists Summit.
During her stay, the Princess accompanied by Minister for National Development Khaw Boon Wan, will officiate a planting ceremony of a lychee tree she had donated to Gardens by the Bay.
She will also visit the Singapore Philatelic Museum exhibition "The Postal Connection: Singapore and Thailand" and the Asian Civilisations Museum exhibition "Enlightened Ways: The Many Streams of Buddhist Art in Thailand".
Acting Minister for Culture, Community and Youth Lawrence Wong and Senior Parliamentary Secretary of State for Culture, Community and Youth and Foreign Affairs Sam Tan will host Her Royal Highness’ visit to the Asian Civilisations Museum.
