Temasek Foundation and polys launch regional youth leaders exchange programme
The Temasek Foundation and three local polytechnics have launch a youth leaders exchange programme with 10 technical and vocational training colleges from the region.
The foundation is committing one million dollars to the programme called Temasek Foundation Specialists' Community Action and Leadership Exchange or TF SCALE.
The inaugural TF SCALE programme was officially launched today at Republic Polytechnic.
Nanyang Polytechnic and Singapore Polytechnic are the other two polys taking part in the programme.
It provides a platform for youth from various institutions in Southeast Asia to engage in a holistic learning and cross-cultural sharing experience.
This includes discussions on regional economic and community issues, and opportunities to apply practical skills, technology and research in developing social innovation projects.
A total of 300 students - comprising 150 from Singapore and 150 from Cambodia, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam - will participate in the inaugural run of TF SCALE.
