SINGAPORE: Police have arrested three 16—year—olds for their suspected involvement in the theft of motorcycles at the Telok Blangah housing estate.
Officers from Central Police Division on patrol spotted two male subjects on a motorcycle behaving suspiciously along Tiong Bahru Road on Tuesday at about 1:15pm.
The officers established that the motorcycle had been stolen from Telok Blangah Heights and placed the two youths under arrest following an interview.
Through follow up investigations, the officers arrested another male accomplice in the vicinity of Bukit Merah at about 4:15pm on the same day.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the trio is believed to be involved in at least three cases of theft of motorcycles.
Investigations are ongoing.
If found guilty, the suspects can be jailed for up to seven years and fined.
