SINGAPORE: Singapore’s Paralympic team returned from the London Games on Tuesday.
The contingent came home with two medals in equestrian, a silver and a bronze.
The tally is less than the four medals the team won in 2008.
A crowd of about a hundred comprising family and friends were on hand to greet the team.
Eight athletes represented Singapore in four sports — Boccia, Para—Equestrian, Para—Sailing and Para—Swimming.
The Singapore Disability Sports Council is pleased with the performance, despite the lower tally.
Acting Minister for Community Development, Youth and Sports, Chan Chun Sing, who was part of the welcoming party, hopes more sponsors will come forward to support the council.
