SINGAPORE: More than S$460,000 have been raised for the Singapore Table Tennis Association’s youth development programmes.
It will go towards operational costs to groom more talent for the sport.
The money comes from a fundraising dinner held on Friday evening, which also celebrated Singapore’s double—bronze medal win at last year’s London Olympics.
Emeritus Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong presented retiring national paddlers Li Jiawei, Sun Beibei and Wang Yuegu with a Sports Fund — that can help them pursue post—career opportunities.
