SINGAPORE: World—class paddler Feng Tianwei won two bronze medals at the Olympic Games in London recently.
But the 25—year—old tried out a completely different sport on Saturday.
Feng was into karting — something far removed from her usual bat and ball routine.
And fans need not worry, as she is not switching sporting careers anytime soon.
The track thrill is part of her preparations for the KF1 Karting Championship next month.
Feng, together with two other athletes and a pro driver, will be a member of the Team Singapore outfit.
"This is my first time trying it. It’s exciting and I like the feeling of speeding. We may win. I feel very happy that I can contribute to the team and not pull it down," she said.
