SINGAPORE: Police have arrested a man suspected of stealing S$85,000 from a lodging house at Cuff Road, off Serangoon Road.
Police said they were informed of the case just after midnight on Monday.
Following a manhunt, the 27-year-old suspect was arrested in the vicinity of Jalan Membina, off Jalan Bukit Merah, on Wednesday evening.
Police said part of the stolen cash, amounting to about $56,000, was recovered from his possession.
The suspect will be charged in court on Friday. If found guilty, he could be jailed up to seven years and fined. - CNA/de
