As Singapore gears up for giant panda’s arrival, xinmsn looks at some of the world’s most famous pandas

Kung Fu Panda

Perhaps one of the most famous pandas around would be the Kung Fu Panda, an animated film featuring an energetic kung fu-loving yet accident-prone giant panda, Po. Voiced by Jack Black, the animated movie premiered in United States in 2008 and became DreamWorks' highest grossing animated film of the year worldwide.

The successful film that prompted Po to worldwide fame was subsequently made into a manga, television series, as well as video and online games. A sequel, Kung Fu Panda 2, was released in 2011 and the second sequel, Kung FuPanda 3, is expected to be released in 2016.
