STB launches 2nd phase of events to commemorate 50 years of tourism
The Singapore Tourism Board, or STB, has launched a second wave of events and activities to commemorate 50 years of tourism development and promotion.
Themed Rediscover, the events will run from this month till October.
There will something for everyone, ranging from carnival-style events to heritage tours and sports-oriented activities, as well as art abd architecture talks.
The kick-off event at the Jurong Bird Park will see MediaCorp artistes like Bryan Wong and DJs Glenn Ong and The Flying Dutchman leading visitors on an egg-themed excursion through the bird park.
A number of attractions on Sentosa, Gardens By The Bay, Forest Adventure and Wild Wild Wet at Downtown East are also offering discounts or free admission.
Through the Rediscover events, STB hopes to encourage Singaporeans to reacquaint themselves with local attractions, and create new memories with friends and family.
Rediscover is part of STB's three-phased plan to reach out to locals.
