S'pore trade grew 7.2% in Q1
Singapore's total trade grew by 7.2 per cent in the first three months of this year, following an expansion of 3.8 per cent in the previous quarter.
IE Singapore attributes the growth to the increase in both oil and non-oil trade.
Non-oil domestic exports, or NODX, posted a slower pace of contraction of 1 per cent, after the previous quarter's decline of 2.1 per cent.
Singapore maintains that total trade and NODX forecasts for this year will grow between 1 and 3 per cent.
