Singapore has strongly urged the North Korean government to refrain from further actions that would escalate tensions and work with the international community to preserve peace and stability in the Korean Peninsula.
A statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs says North Korea's rocket launch yesterday is a violation of United Nations Security Council resolutions.
It added that Singapore deeply regrets this defiance of the concerns of the international community.
