The Singapore Land Authority is conducting a feasibility study to expand the range of interim use for the former Tanjong Pagar Railway Station.

This could include some food stalls serving local fare.

It was responding to media queries after it posted an expression of interest on the government's electronic business portal, Gebiz.

It called for a feasibility study, design and renovation works to a food shop at the former railway station.

But its stressed that plans are at a preliminary stage and could not share more details.

SLA said 24 events have been held at the former Tanjong Pagar Railway Station since it was opened for ad-hoc events in 2012.

This includes sports events, exhibitions and fashion shows.

Some educational tours, a community event and requests for wedding photo shoots are also on the calendar.
