Singapore's non-oil domestic exports declined 6% last year

Singapore's non-oil domestic exports or NODX declined by a worse than expected six per cent last year, dragged down by lower exports of both electronic and non-electronic products. 

IE Singapore had forecast a contraction of between four to five per cent. 

Electronic exports declined by 11.3 per cent. 

Non-electronic exports decreased by 3.3 per cent, after expanding by three per cent in 2012. 

Turning to total trade, IE Singapore, says it declined by 0.5 per cent to reach $980.2 billion last year.
