Singaporeans can start using sports hub facilities for free from 30th this month
Singaporeans can start using the facilities at the Sports Hub for free starting from the 30th of this month.
These include swimming laps at the OCBC Aquatic Centre, canoeing and kayaking activities at the Water Sports Centre, and the courts for various sports.
It will also be free entry to the Splash-N-Surf for recreational water activities such as Stingray surf pool, lazy river and water playground.
Sports Hub's Chief Operating Officer, Oon Jin Teik explains the rationale behind the free access.
"It is not one where we will say, this is a one-time opportunity to come and take a look. But it's a start. We're opening our doors, there are events that we would like Singapore to come and have a feel, to
adopt to these new facilities. Build a bonding with us, talk to us, give us feedback and to understand what this new facility is all about. "
The complimentary access will be for a month, will end on 31st July.
The Singapore Sports Hub will also be organising an "experience Sports" workshop.
This is to allow people of all ages to try out different sports.
For a start, the public will get to learn basketball, netball, water sports and bossaball.
Participation at the workshop will also be free.
Members of the public may log on to Sports Hub's website,www.sportshub.com.sgfor more information.
