Singapore Nov NODX fell unexpectedly by 8.8% on year
Singapore's non oil domestic exports, or NODX, fell unexpectedly last month due to a contraction in both electronic and non-electronic shipments.
Data by IE Singapore showed that exports slipped 8.8 percent on-year in November.
This, compared with the 2.8 percent growth in the previous month.
On a month-on-month basis, nodx contracted by 9.3 percent.
Electronic shipments dropped by 8.9 percent on-year, dragged down by disk media products, parts of PCs and integrated circuits.
Non-electronic exports declined by 0.9 percent led largely by structures of ships & boats.
Exports to all of the top 10 markets fell, except China, the US and Taiwan.
The top three contributors to the decline were the European Union, Hong Kong and South Korea.
