Singapore-KL High Speed Rail discussions ongoing
Transport Minister Lui Tuck Yew says discussions on the Singapore-Kuala Lumpur High Speed Rail are ongoing.
He said this in a written response to MP Dr Fatimah Lateef's question in Parliament today.
A working group has been formed under the Iskandar Malaysia Joint Ministerial Committee to discuss various aspects of the project.
This includes system design, security immigration requirements, as well as financing, governance and legal arrangement.
The Land Transport Authority, LTA, is conducting an engineering feasibility study to be completed early next year.
As part of the study, LTA will determine possible options for the high-speed rail's alignments and station locations in Singapore.
