An importer's plan to distribute fake goods to shops in Singapore was foiled by Singapore Customs.
Customs officers found 159 cartons and nine sacks containing toys, water bottles, bags and accessories featuring popular superhero and comic characters such as Batman and Captain America in a container they inspected at the importer's premises at Playfair Road.
More trademark-infringing goods were found when they search the office of the importer.
The police's Intellectual Property Rights Branch was immediately notified.
A man and a woman were arrested for possession of the fake goods.
The goods were also seized.
Investigations are ongoing.
