Singapore condemns North Korea's nuclear test
Singapore says the nuclear test conducted by North Korea yesterday was a clear breach of the relevant UN Security Council resolutions.
A statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) described the move as an outrageous act of defiance against the entire international community.
The statement added that it does not enhance Pyongyang's own security and threatens to destabilise the entire region, to the detriment of all, including North Korea itself.
It called on North Korea to desist from further provocative actions.
MFA said Singapore will make its views known to North Korea through its Ambassador in Singapore.
