Singapore Compact launches membership for youths

SINGAPORE: Target the youth to create a new generation of ethical business leaders. Singapore Compact, a national society for corporate social responsibility (CSR), is championing this cause by launching a new membership for youths.

They hope to nurture a civic—minded generation of industry leaders that will defend responsible business practices and transform the workplace.

To kick—start the new youth network, Singapore Compact will work with the National Youth Achievement Awards Council (NYAA) to welcome all youth who are keen to learn more about CSR.

Singapore Compact will also work with tertiary institutions to boost their youth membership.

Among other measures to hasten the acceptance of the CSR movement is the launch of a new publication to provide practical tips on setting up CSR programmes by businesses.
