Shooting: Student—athlete sets new record with perfect score
SINGAPORE: Secondary Two student Martina Lindsay Veloso attained a new national shooting record on Monday.
The 14—year—old from the Singapore Sports School shot a perfect score of 400 in the women’s 10—metre air rifle event at the HomeTeam—NS Invitation Shoot.
In doing so, she gunned down Singapore Olympian Jasmine Ser’s record of 399 — first set in 2008 —— which Ser equalled just two weeks ago.
Veloso also won two silvers in the C—Division Girls’ rifle individual and team events at last year’s National Schools Games shooting competition.
