Shanmugam his first official visit to Timor-Leste

Minister for Foreign Affairs and Minister for Law K Shanmugam will make his first official visit to Timor-Leste from 22 to 24 November 2012.
During his visit, Minister Shanmugan will call on President Taur Matan Ruak, Prime Minister Xanana Gusmão, Foreign Minister José Luis Guterres, Minister of Petroleum and Natural Resources Alfredo Pires, Minister of Justice Dionisio Babo-Soares and Leader of the Opposition Mari Alkatiri.
Mr Shanmugam will also be hosted to an official dinner by Foreign Minister Guterres.
While in Timor-Leste, Mr Shanmugam will take the opportunity to meet the Singaporean community there.
Mr Shanmugam will be accompanied by Dr Seetha Shanmugam, Singapore's Non-Resident Ambassador to Timor-Leste, Mr Lee Chiong Giam and officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
