SINGAPORE : Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, Le Thanh Hai, met Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong at the Istana on Tuesday morning.
During the meeting, Mr Lee and Mr Hai noted the robust ties between the two economies.
They also agreed to explore ways to further bilateral cooperation.
Mr Hai, who is also a member of the Politburo of the Communist Party of Vietnam, is visiting Singapore from March 19 to 20.
The Foreign Affairs Ministry said Mr Hai’s visit underscores the warm bilateral ties between Singapore and Vietnam, as both countries celebrate the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations this year.
