SINGAPORE: The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) will be conducting a ground deployment exercise at Woodlands Central in the early morning of Friday.
The exercise, which will begin at 1am and end at about 3am, will involve some 80 personnel and 15 emergency and supporting vehicles.
Vehicles involved in the exercise will have their beacon lights switched on to alert motorists.
Exercise signage will also be placed in the area to alert members of the public to the exercise.
SCDF said such exercises are part of its on-going efforts to validate and update operational plans and procedures.
It advises the public not to be alarmed. - CNA/nd
