SBF urges members to counsel workers
The Singapore Business Federation, SBF, has urged its members, particularly those that employ foreign workers, to counsel their entire workforce to stay calm, maintain peace and order.
They should not react to speculations following the riot in Little India.
SBF CEO Ho Meng Kit has denounceed the unwarranted violence and blatant lawlessness displayed at last night's riot.
He said the images of last night's incident had spread though social media and shattered Singapore's image as a peaceful and harmonious city.
SBF urged the authorities to act swiftly to restore confidence in Singapore as a safe place to live, work and play.
