Sausages contain only chicken sourced & produced locally: IKEA S’pore

SINGAPORE: IKEA Singapore said the sausages sold at its stores contain only chicken sourced and produced locally, and none of the ingredients are produced by the affected Swedish supplier.

In a statement, IKEA Singapore’s Assistant Advertising and Public Relations Manager Sandra Keasberry said the company does not tolerate any other ingredients than the ones stipulated in its recipes or specifications, secured through set standards, certifications and product analysis by accredited laboratories.

The company also has a declaration from its local supplier that sausages sold at the IKEA Swedish Food Market and IKEA Bistro are produced locally with chicken meat and are safe for consumption.

IKEA Singapore will continue to sell and serve the sausages in the stores.

Ms Keasberry added: "We are committed to serving and selling food that is safe, healthy and produced with care for the environment and the people who produce it."
