Responding to the Downtown Line accident in Bugis, Minister of State for Transport Josephine Teo says it is an unfortunate incident.
She said she is saddened by the accident and everything possible will be done for the families of the deceased.
Mrs Teo said a thorough investigation will be conducted to avoid a repeat of the incident.
Mrs Teo also assured that safety is of the utmost concern now.
Mrs Teo was speaking on the sidelines of a transport event at Changi Airport.
